Donald J. Trump claimed victory over Harris in the race to become the 47th president of the United States. The Republican President Elect won a "landslide" election, underscoring a rightward shift within the American population. The Republican Party also secured a majority in the Senate with 52 confirmed seats (Democrats with 45 confirmed seats). As of this date, the US House of Representatives has yet to be confirmed for either party.
